 ACORN & Shades of Hope

ACORN Food Dependency Recovery Services is building a new collaboration with

Shades of Hopea treatment center for food addiction in Buffalo Gap, Texas.

Phil Werdell and Mary Foushi have done extensive research and attended (as participants) various Shades of Hope recovery activities
in order to ensure that Shades of Hope and ACORN philosophies are aligned
.

Phil and Mary have come to respect their program and have found ACORN's approach to treating food addiction completely compatible with those of Shades of Hope

The first collaboration together is that Phil and Mary will begin leading a five day Food Addiction Program (patterned after ACORN's Primary Intensive© model) at Shades of Hope starting the first week of each month in February 2012.

This program will provide the experiential education of ACORN for anyone coming to Shades of Hopefor treatment. The ACORN schedule page will provide a link to Shades of Hope for registrations

For those in the ACORN community, holding the program at Shades of Hope will offer a stable, consistent location to come to for deepening physical food addiction abstinence, as well as working on related emotional and spiritual issues in the ACORN tradition.

ACORN will continue to work with the ACORN community to set up local events.
Please see our
schedule for more information.

We hope to see you there!

their recovery. Those needing further help can choose to transition directly into the Shades of Hope's 42-day residential treatment program.
