The Living In Abstinence (LIA) program was originally created as a practical way to support one of ACORN's basic principles of recovery: If you are having trouble with your abstinence and recovery, "Surrender to more structure and support."

People who sign up and pay for programs in advance (such as Primary Intensives,© Workshops and Retreats) are more likely to attend and support ongoing efforts to stabilize their abstinence and recovery. Many ACORN alumni come to Intensives already abstinent in order to do deeper Step work and stabilize early and long-term abstinence.

Participants in the program receive a substantial discount if they register and pay in advance for two, three or four Primary Intensives©. In addition to the Intensives, they will receive 20% off the fees for other workshops they attend during the calendar year.

The program offers a discount for those who enroll in two or more Intensives© in a calendar year.

For example:

All fees must be paid upon enrollment. Intensives must be completed within the calendar year. No refunds or transfers for unused monies. The LIA Program is a workshop alternative to residential treatment.
